Description: St Martin’s Voices at Tetbury – Concert and Choral Workshop
We are delighted to announce that BBC Producer and Director of St Martin’s Voices, Andrew Earis will be bringing his singers to St Mary’s once again over the weekend of 14th and 15th November for a concert, choral workshop and short act of worship.
The singers are those who produced the beautiful recordings of the hymns for the nation which we sang during lockdown. The format will be the same as in 2021 –
Friday 14th November – Concert in St Mary’s Church
We are very privileged to be hosting this concert which will be repeated in Brecon Cathedral the following evening.

Saturday 15th November – Choral Workshop 10.30am – 12 noon.
If anything like the last one back in 2021 this will be a wonderful morning of music making to which keen singers from the area are invited to join. There will be warm-up exercises, a few choral pieces to learn with help from members of St Martin’s Voices, all directed by Andrew Earis. Music will be provided; some knowledge of reading music would be helpful but not absolutely necessary. There will be a short break before we gather to sing the music we have learned in the morning as part of a short act of worship led by the Revd Pauline Setterfield. There is a small fee of £5 for this event – a small price to pay for working with one of the country’s finest choral conductors! Come along and sing or perhaps just come to the concert on the Friday and the act of worship (free) at 12.30pm on the Saturdaya.
